Been a long time...
Posted in Daily Rant, Family, Scrapbooking on 1:53 AM by UnknownIve been neglecting my blog for quite some time. Life has been busy... Lots of updates but this will be a short post cos Im updating this via my iPhone.
April is the month my little girl turns 4. She had a small celebration in school and on her actual day, we brought her to the zoo. Photos will be posted later...
Scrapbook wise, Im doing a mini album titled: Us in 2010. In it, Ill show the family shots and events during each month. Which will mean Ill have 12 pages to fill up.. Already did the cover page, those friends in my fb acct should seen it already. Quite pleased with the result of that page actually.
Im also aiming to do up an album for each kid... Showcasing the growing of them for this year...
The family will be travelling to HK in June. It will be our first trip with all the kids... Hopefully everyone will enjoy it.
Ok... Its quite a ling winded post without any photos to entertain you. Hopefully you will not feel bored reading this.... Till later...
Clearing some stashes
Posted in Daily Rant, Family, Pregnancy, Scrapbooking on 9:51 PM by UnknownAlso added in it are two brand new crocs girls alice shoes which I recently bought from a spree. The sizes I got are way too big for my girls, therefore selling off is a better choice.
Those who are interested in buying any of the items, can email me at irenechan80@hotmail.com with the item description.
I've ordered from another spree for them, hopefully I can receive them in time for Chinese New Year.
Recently, I found that I can't walk too long. I will feel strain on my back if I walked too long. Getting in the last trimester will be tiring I guess. Another 2-3 months to see my lil boy. :)
V started school today. As usual, taking school bus to school. Feel that it will be a better choice as I don't really trust my maid to send her to school. I'm worried about the crossing of roads. S will starts school in Feburary but she can't wait, she kept asking me when is she going to school. Thanks Mommy Wendy for the lil school bag for her. She loves it a lot.
I scrapped!
Posted in Daily Rant, Scrapbooking on 6:17 PM by UnknownV suggested scrapping and asked me to scrap with her, so when S was asleep, we scrapped.Using the Studio Calico’s October Kit, I made this.
[Remember this Moment]
Using transparency to print the photos, and inking the flowers to make it more pop-up effect. Quite pleased with this layout actually. I hope my mojo will not leave me and I’m able to do more layouts
Updates + a layout - Warning, long post
Posted in Daily Rant, Family, Kits I Subscribe, Pregnancy, Scrapbooking on 9:08 PM by UnknownThis will be a long post, sorry for my long-windedness.
Ok, I'm on 3 days leaves, given by my gynae. I nearly blackout on Sunday morning, luckily I was sitting down a chair, or who knows what will happen. Everything in front of me is blur and black, voices I hear become blur also. Luckily my mom and hubby were there, mom immediately gave me some sweets and I quickly drank some milo. I feel better after a few minutes. Gynae wants me to rest well, also asked me not to carry S too often. I shall listen to her and rest well.
Yesterday went for the NT Scan, everything is ok, normal, no risk. Baby is very active, keep moving during the scan. Hubby later asked Gynae to check for gender, the baby position is not very good, so we can view his buttock clearly, we saw something inbetween his legs, but due to his position, it's not very clear, just saw two round balls and something pointing, that's all. Gynae say, she do not want to confirm anything yet, thou good chance that it's a boy. We shall wait one month later to confirm everything. For us, we do not put high hopes yet also. If it's a boy, it's a blessing and our wish come true.
We selected a maid on Sunday, yes the day I nearly faint. We wanted to get a new maid, but the bio-data is not a lot, and there is this transfer maid at the agency, who stood up immediately to offer her seat to my mom and played with the girls when we stepped in the agency. She looks quite pleasant and can speak english. I took an interest on her and ask the in-charge about her. Well.. I shall not say what she told me, cos it might not be that true after all. I just felt that she has the initative and my kids can get along with her, can speak english, so just give her a chance to prove herself with me. We got her. If everything turns out right, she will be joining our house on Thursday.
I've also confirmed S's school. It will be Zion Bishan Kindergarden, as they have a vacancy for morning slot, which is what we wanted. Good news for us.
V will be having her exams soon, today having her oral tests.
And lastly, I scrapped on yesterday morning. I woke up at 6am and can't get back to sleep. So using the September Studio Calico's kit, I scrapped this:

Some LOs to share
Posted in Pregnancy, Scrapbooking on 5:36 AM by UnknownBelow Layouts are done using Studio Calico's August Kit. It's really a nice kit club with great inspirations at it's gallery. Do pop in to take a look.
Ok, for those who have been following my blog should know that recently I really did not scrap. It's really tiring and sleepy during this 1st trimester. All I wish to do is to lie down on my bed and sleep or rest. No mood for anything.
However, today I scrapped, trying to find back my mojo though, so these simple layouts.

WISH
Posted in Daily Rant, Family, Scrapbooking on 10:28 PM by UnknownWe are now trying to check how much our Sunny can sell thou, and I don’t really expect it will fetch a good price. Just hope that we do not need to fork out a lot to sell it and get our WISH.
Need to work out the sums.
Scrapping Ends:I’m currently busy doing up a mini album for my Cousin, J. I did scrap a few layout, but have not take photos yet. Will do so when I’m not lazy.
Scrapbooking
Posted in Daily Rant, Scrapbooking on 1:46 AM by UnknownScrapbooking should be done in order to preserve memories and often I forgot about it.
I feel I scrapbook just to scrapbook, not noting down the stories behind the photos.
I'm going to change this. I will scrapbook to jot down and preserve memories.
CHA-S
Posted in Daily Rant, Scrapbooking on 1:59 AM by UnknownSaw some previews of the new products that scrapbook manufacturers had come out with. They are really gorgeous!
Some of my favorite are from:
Basic Grey
Pink Paislee
Making Memories - all time favourite!
October Afternoon
My new hairstyle after I went back to my own stylist, C which help me 'save' it. Haiz.. it's just too short (cut by that idiot hairstylist who ruined it). Luckily C dyed my hair to a much better color and trim off some ends of my hair, also teaching me how to style it. I need to work on my styling.

Studio Calico
Posted in Daily Rant, Scrapbooking on 9:48 PM by UnknownThere were a couple of new kit stores last year and there were a few that caught my eyes. Studio Calico is one of them. I love the way they put their kits together and I tell you, their Design Team girls are great! The DT Gallery is always so inspiring. One of my favourite scrapbooker, Christine Middlecamp was once their DT girl.
I'm tempted to subscribe to Studio Calico since my another favourite kit store, Story Of My Own, is having a 3 month break. They will be back in September. I hope I will be able to scrap fast to finish two kits in a month if I were to subscribe to SC.

Gosh, so fast, it's July already. I was just grumbling about choosing a school for S and how to get them both to school since the timing clashes and now it's July. We have not come to a conclusion yet. Talked to a couple of my friends and colleague and they advised me that it's a waste of money if I were to hire a maid and the main purpose is to solve this issue of mine. I'm not sure, really not sure. What other choices do I have?
Find another school for S?
Make her take the school bus to school?
Put her to a full day childcare?
I guess I need to sit down with Hubby and talk about this soon.
Some photos to share

Happy Mother's Day
Posted in Daily Rant, Family, Scrapbooking on 9:43 PM by UnknownSorry that this post came so late, was so tied down over the whole of last week. V had her exams, therefore need to coach her and weekend was busy shopping for hubby's biz trip. He needs to get some tops (his wardrobe seriously needs to be updated).
We had our Mother's Day dinner with my Grandma and Mom two weeks ago, cos we do not want to queue and wait for our food. :P However on last Saturday, we went for another dinner, this time without Grandma. Initially plan was to check out backpack, but couldn't find one at Causeway Point.
Sunday, we went for breakfast and after sending Grandma home, we drove to Queensway. There's a store which solely sell Deuter Bags there. We bought one Deuter Backpack with Laptop Compartment (28L) and also a Deuter Kid's Genius SchoolBag for V. She seriously need a new bag as her old bag is worn off. So happy with the purchases. Next we drove to Bishan Junction 8 and went to Esprit to get 3 polo tees for DH. Luckily there is a 20% storewide if you purchase 2 regular items and above.
TSL is having a Scrap Idol Challenge. Deadline is today 9.30pm. So for those who wanna join, please go to TSL for more details.
Got some photos of the girls, will take time to upload and post them when I'm free.
a happy girl today
Posted in Daily Rant, Scrapbooking on 11:30 PM by UnknownThis book is great! I fell in love with it immediately when I flip through the first few pages.
I think I'm crazy over idea book as I also got this from a spree.
Heard from a fellow scrapper friend, missyb that this is a great book too!
I do hope I will get very inspired by these books and start scrapping! I'm itching to scrap. Hahaha
{Just Us}
Posted in Crafts, Scrapbooking on 7:44 AM by UnknownGot the inspiration of this layout from Leena and Christine Middlecamp.
Supplies Used:
PP - Pink Paislee
Bling - Swarovski Crystals
Shear - Maya Road
Rubon - 7G
Stickers - Heidi Swapp, Doodlebug, Ek Success
CS - Bazzill
Expoxy - Making Memories.
On this layout, I added Swarovski crystals on the Pink Paislee tree, so that it will add some dimension to it. For the 7G's rubon, I rubon on a transparency and overlay on the photo and PPs, on top of it, I overlay the Maya Road Shear Tag on it and sticked the stickers on it. I wanted it to be more dimensional, so added the expoxy tag on it.
I love this picture of us, it's so rare that we took a photo together. Our 7th wedding anniversary is coming soon and this layout is dedicated to him. Hope he will likes this layout.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. Lighting is not enough, or I should say I'm lazy to get a nice picture. :p
Oh, I'm starting to feel I'm getting too skinny. I need to gain some weight and grow some fats. I'm finding it difficult to buy clothes. Sometimes, even S size is too big for me. Can recommend some ways to gain weight? Thanks in advance
Our weekend
Posted in Crafts, Daily Rant, Family, Scrapbooking on 10:05 PM by UnknownOn Saturday, I received a call from my Grandma, she mentioned that my 3rd uncle is feeling very uncomfortable and yet do not want to visit the doctor. She asked me over to persuade him to see a doc. My mom with the girls went over with me. At first he still say he is ok, just stomach bloated. I went back home to get gastric pills and eno for him. Later he told me that his kidney is painful. I told him, we must go to the hospital, so I called hubby and he drove over and picked us up to TTSH. We reached there around 9+ and wait 2 hours before we get to see a doctor. Doc suspects it's kidney stones so he need to be kept at the observation room till 1am. I told the nurse, I'm going out for my dinner first then going back home. If he can be discharge, just give me a call and I'll come down to fetch him. True enough, I received the call at 1am from the doc. We went down and fetch him back. By the time we reached home, it was 2 plus, 3am. So tired by then.
Sunday morning, we went for our breakfast at Cursurina Prata House (hope I got the name spelt correctly). Then we went to Upper Pierce Reservoir for a short walk. I like going there, I love the sun, the peacefulness there. Took some pix using my handphone and hubby's handphone and this is one pix I like best.
I managed to scrap a page when S was having her afternoon nap yesterday.
This layout is done because of V's passion on Gelare.
