Assessment books

I went to the Popular Bookstore with my colleagues during lunch and bought these books for the kids.

I shall spend more time on them on revision as I think I'm really too lazy on this matter.

hopefully big missy's grades will improve by CA2 and little missy will have no problem coping for her P1 next year.

Little Missy turned 5...

My Little Missy turned 5 this Monday. We start off the celebration on Saturday to Fidgets. The kiddos have fun there and are totally tired by the end of 1.5hrs. Sent the kids home and Hubby and me went to Junction 8 to shop for Little Missy's Birthday gift. We basically walked a few rounds and decided on an iPad. Yes, it's silly to get such an expensive gift for a 5 years old, but we felt it's something she can share with the brother and sister and something that they will use and not becoming a white elephant. It's also something that me and Hubby will use also, so quite worth it I would feel.

We basically spend Sunday at home and collecting the cupcakes and cake from Cupcake Momma.

On the Actual day, we did the first celebration at her school. The whole school sang birthday song for her in the Scantary and we went back to the classroom for the celebration. The kids have fun and Little Missy was trilled.
We brought the kids to NEX after school and the Daddy brought the girls to the Virtual Land to play while me and my mom went shopping with Little Zac. We have a little cake caking session in the evening at home.

We were glad that Little Missy enjoyed her birthday.

1st post in 2011

Gosh.. it had been such a long while since I last posted here.
Life had been busy.. with work and the little online store…
The little online store is doing good.. thanks for all the regular customers and supporters. I will be fully launching the store with my own domain on Little Missy’s Birthday in this month.
Do support me at www.mommyloft.com :)

Little Zachary had turned 2! Had a few days of celebration with him and the family. We went to a few places including the Zoo. This little one is more vocal now and really has a mind of his own.. He can be  real stubborn at times…

Some pixs of us..[gallery]

We are changing school for Little Missy next term. Reason due to her current Kindergarten is going to renovate next year and that they have not found a place to relocate. Hopefully Little Missy is able to adapt to the new school.

Big Missy's school work had improved a lot. All thanks to her tutor, Mr Lam. He gave her the confident in doing her Maths sums and I can really see the improvement. Hopefully she will do well in her SA1 this round.

I shall post again soon.. will update some scrapping photos also. Stay tuned.

Wish

Hubby n I viewed a Toyota Wish last evening. It was very nice with full bodykit done up. Interior is maintained very well also... So we signed the papers...
However, though excited about getting the new car at first.... After signing the papers, the excitement is gone... Instead I feel kinda weary... Don't know why this feeling though... Anyway just hope that the loan n insurance will go through n we can collect our new ride soon.

1st post at here

Hello, my first post in this URL. :)
Decided to save some bucks and ended www.simplyirene.com since I'm just using the domain and webhosting for my blog only. Decided to shift the whole blog over to this free site and make full use of the webhosting for something else that can generate some benefits to me. Something's cooking.. kekeke... will reveal more when more stuffs are firm.

Some updates on myself and family.
I myself started a small online store selling some ladies fashion stuffs and kids stuffs. It's actually in facebook and at a blog. Things are going smoothly and I really thanked all those who had given me support to this venture. Link is at the right side of this blog "Another part of me". :) I'm still working full time and this is just my part time venture. Don't mistaken that I had quit my job for this venture. I still need this stable rice bowl.. kekeke

Family wise, everyone is more or less the same... Hubby was thinking of changing car... from our faithful Nissan Sunny to Toyota Wish. Now we are at the midst of looking for cars (2nd hand ones... 1st hand are soooo expensive nowadays).

Started Big Missy with private tution as her results is really falling. Tutor said that her maths is very weak and need to improve on this. Hopefully with his guidance, she will be able to pass her SA2. God Bless her.

Little Missy has grown up.. People are actually asking us if she is going to be P1 next year. Gosh.. she is going to be in K1 next year only.. hahahaha... Recently she is very girlish... keep wanting to wear dresses, so we bought 5 dresses for her 2 weeks ago. She was trilled!

Last but not least, my little Man... he's 19 months old now. Time flies isn't it... He is more vocal now, can express himself better... He loves to call me Mommee, and imidate us calling Big Missy - "Gal" and Little Missy - "mei mei" LOL.
Very mischievious, active and had a strong mind of his own. Love him to bits.

Ok.. will try to upload photos here and promise to find time and blog more regularly. Sorry that I had neglected my blog for soooo long... Ciaoz...

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all mommies in the world! Especially to my mom and grandma.
Got a small gift from V. So touched...
I hope you mommies have enjoy your day.

Irene

Sick...

My little boy is down with a chest infection yesterday... My mother brought him to the GP thinking it was a normal cold but the GP advised us to send him to the hospital cos he is getting breathless. Mum called me immediately and I rushed home from work.

However I decided to call up zacs PD for an opinion. He asked us to go down to his clinic and he assessed Zac. Zac was put on the nebuliser and was feeling much better after that. The PD said it was not necessary to admit him unless we do not know how to use the nebuliser on him. Luckily it was easy to use and Rachel lent us her nebuliser.
Need to neb him for 5 days. Today is the 2nd day and we can feel this little boy of ours is feeling very much better. He can walk around , play, talk, sleep and eat well. God blessed.

Been a long time...

Hi all

Ive been neglecting my blog for quite some time. Life has been busy... Lots of updates but this will be a short post cos Im updating this via my iPhone.

April is the month my little girl turns 4. She had a small celebration in school and on her actual day, we brought her to the zoo. Photos will be posted later...

Scrapbook wise, Im doing a mini album titled: Us in 2010. In it, Ill show the family shots and events during each month. Which will mean Ill have 12 pages to fill up.. Already did the cover page, those friends in my fb acct should seen it already. Quite pleased with the result of that page actually.
Im also aiming to do up an album for each kid... Showcasing the growing of them for this year...

The family will be travelling to HK in June. It will be our first trip with all the kids... Hopefully everyone will enjoy it.

Ok... Its quite a ling winded post without any photos to entertain you. Hopefully you will not feel bored reading this.... Till later...

Canvas

Recently, I've ordered a canvas for the house and this is the artwork I've used for it.
Thanks to Mandy, who edited the artwork for me. I'll be collecting the canvas this Friday, hope it will turn out as nice.

Chinese New Year is approaching, things are more or less settled. Just some minor cleaning to be done.

Some updates on the little ones... Big Missy is coping well in school. She's been attending to the swimming lessons on Friday and she loves it so much. Little Missy is still as cheeky as before and really knows how to capture your heart. kekeke... Little Zac is 11mths old now. This bad mommy has not start preparing for his 1st birthday. I guess I'll do it after CNY. Hope I'm not too late.

We are taking a little break for Ellewina due to CNY. We'll be back soon, hopefully with some new products. Not forgetting some bazzars on the way in March and April. :) Stay Tuned.

busy busy busy

life has been busy... With work, family and not forgetting, Ellewina.

It's also school holidays now for the girls. V started her art lessons for 3 weeks already and i'm glad that she is enjoying it. S also mentioned that she wanted to join the art lessons, but the teacher is unable to take her in cos she is too young. So, next year or the year after that then...

As for V's exams, she did OK. Hopefully next year will be a better one for her. S had good reviews from her teachers. Her English teacher gave her a big "well done" on her review file. The teacher also commented that she is a confident child and will always the 1st one to raise her hand to show participation. I'm so proud of my little missy.

Lil Zac is 8+mths old now. He can show his preferences clearly now. He will turn away if he do not wants you yo carry him, or he will waves his hands high up if he wants you to carry. We've let him sit in a walker, but not letting him "walk" too much, scare he will tiptoe when he walks next time. Usually we'll just lock the locker so that it is only stationary. Oh ya.. He loves his porridge, yesterday we cook potatoes and carrots and add in the porridge for him. He finished everyrhing. :) He weighs 9.4kg now. Sometimes it's quite tiring to carry him. Did i mention that he is an attention seeker also? Hehehe

As you all know, we had laurched Ellewina, a brand created by my Aunt and me. It's really exciting, cos wait to make more products for our customers. Thank you those who had purchased from us.

Something's Cooking

Yes, something’s cooking… I’m not revealing more here till I got everything more or less done up…  remember to check back my blogFeeling so excited over it.. but now.. just keep you in suspend first.. kekekeke

I’m sorry that I’ve no time to upload photos for this post. So bear with me.. I’ll just pen down my thots in words..

Lydia’s big day is tomorrow.. Congratulations to her and her hubby, Johnny! Wishing both of you have a blissful wedding and faster produce a baby… kekekeke (Lydia is going to kill me if she see this, hahahaha)

Been busy sewing, I’ve completed a patchwork blanket and a taggie for Zac. So pleased with my work. I guess most of you have seen it in my Facebook’s album. I’ll try to upload here soon..Little Zac is turning 7months old soon… He is a demanding baby, keep wanting our attention and loves to be carried. Totally different from his two sisters.  Oh ya, not forgetting, I’ve breastfeed him for 6months! Hit my own target but I’m going to continue, hopefully as long as I can. I’ve started Zac with purees and cereals and he is taking them well. Some purees and cereals he is taking now are:Best Earth’s pureesHappy Bellies’s rice cereal

I’m going to let him try homemade porridge next, hopefully tomorrow.

Next, sharing with you a conversation I had with little missy.Me: You want to go to school on your own, aren’t you afraid?S: There’s no policeman. Policeman will not catch me de.Me: You don’t need to be afraid of policeman, you should be afraid of bad guys.S: I’m not afraid of bad guys, I’m the bad guy.

LOLOLOLOL…

Big Missy is improving in her school work and I hope she will keep it up. She has been a great help taking care of her little brother also. Exams are coming and I hope she will do well this time also.

So Sorry

Hi all,

Apologies for not updating my blog regularly. I’m pretty busy with my work and the kids.
Work is hectic, been having a lot of backlogs and need time to clear them up. I remember that there is one point I was feeling so low that I wanna just quit and go, hate coming to office and face all the backlogs.
Well, life still goes on, I’m over that feeling already and catching up. I can do it, I told myself.

As for kids, they are coping well.
V has made improvements in her studies which is a good news for us. I hope that she will continue this way. CA2 is coming and soon SA2 will be here. We are planning some fun during the September holidays for the kids.
S, as usual, the bubbly girl, full of ideas and cheekiness. However, she can be quite notti at times, bullying V. Haiz… I hope that she will outgrow her stubbornness also. Going to train her to read story books on her own and how to count (addition of numbers).
Z, this little man, he learnt how to flip already and started on solid already. We let him tried the Organic Brown Rice Cereal, Organic Sweet Potatoes Puree and Organic Apple Puree. He took it well and kept asking for more. He will also fuss if we are too slow in feeding him. This little man has grown so fast. Full of laughter and smiling face now.

I shall let the photos share it’s story now..

Oh ya.. I'm gearing back to scrapping... Going to attend a class from Lia soon. So excited..

Back to work

I went back to work last Tuesday. Time flies, it had been 14 weeks already.
Everything went on smooth at work. I’m slowly gearing back to the working schedule. Trying to catch up with my projects.
I’m still expressing milk in office, 2 times. I’ve reduced the number of pumps to 4 per day. Once in the morning (6am), once before lunch, once at 5pm and once before I go to sleep (usually 11pm).Luckily the amount is no lesser than what I had with 3 hourly or 4 hourly expressing.  Updates on the kids.V started her school holidays, she did quite ok for her exams, with improving grades. However, she still needs to buck up more. This girl of mine is always so nice and caring, never asked for anything. She can take care of the baby brother well also. Baby Zac also seems to like her more than S.Well, maybe S is too rough in handling him. KekekekeOk, I know some stuffs which V hopes to have. She would like to go oversea (she has not been on a plane before), a mobile phone (pink one if possible) and a handheld game console.I guess we’ll get her one of these soon.

S, mentioned on my last post that she is showing signs of jealousy. Recently, she has been sleeping with me. She doesn’t want me to sleep with bb Zac. Poor bb Zac will have to bunk in with my Mother and my poor Mother will have to wake up for night feeding. Ok, back to S, she doesn’t want me to go back to office. She cried for the 1st few days. Every morning when she wakes up, she will say “Mommy, I don’t want you to go to work”. Despite of her jealousy, she still dotes on her lil brother. Very often, you can see her going to him, kissing him on his face.

Zac, he got his 1st 5in1 jab last Monday. Developed fever the next Monday, luckily was a mild one and it subside after 2 doses of medication. He weighs 6.1kg and is 62cm tall (measured last Monday). He is getting more vocal and responsive already. Smile at you when you talk to him. Calling you for attention. Oh ya, he is am impatience lil boy. When he cries for milk, he really scream.  Can’t wait at all.

Some photos to share.

The Trio:

Love this photo, a 3 year old carrying a 3 month old:

Maid-less

Our helperr had went home this morning.
It's only 9 months with us, however recently she and V can't seems to get along well. So for the good of both of them, i gave our helper an option, to transfer to another owner or to go home. She chose the later after discussing with her sister over the phone. They intended to go to HK to work in September.
Therefore, now we are without our helper. Mum said that she is able to handle the kids on her own. If she really can't handle, she will quit sewing (she is sewing part time at home).
Recently, S starts to show her jealousy. She keeps wanting me to carry her and did not want me to carry Zac. At night, she also wants to sleep with me. BB Zac has to bunk in with my mum. I hope this phrase will pass soon, then I can have more time bonding with BB Zac.
I feel so lucky to have such a good and supporting mum. She has been helping us a lot. Thank You Mum!

busy weeks

Kids are sick... One after another... Been very busy looking after them. We quarantine Zac at my grandma's place. May the girls recover soon and Zac will be able to come home.

It's been a month again

*updating this blog via my mobile, hence no graphics or photos*

Times flies, it's been another month again. Din realised that I did not update my blog for so long till my hubby reminded me.

Wendy, no time to update that status. Thinking of changing the look of this blog or the top header picture... But need time to search or edit any photos first.

This one month has been up and low..I got mastitis for 3 times in 2 weeks. Fever got as high as 39.7degC. At times, feel like giving up breastfeeding. Was thinking why I'm making my life difficult and suffer myself so much. Time spent on expressing milk, suffering from mastitis. Well... It's all for the good of Zac.

Baby Zac is growing well. He went for his 2nd dose of Hep B jab early this month. As he was still sllighly yellow, doctor asked for a liver test to be done. Luckily, all went well and result is fine The jaundice level come down a week after that. Oh, he is getting more chubby too. Those who know me personally can access to my facebook for his updated photos.

S had a haircut done this month too. We decided that the weather is too warm for her. She has been sweating too much, hair messy. She looks great in her short hair and she loves it too. Today she will be taking her class photos.
Last Thursday, her class conducted a Parent Attachment Day. We parents are allowed to attend the class with the kids for 1.5hrs. Me n S did a strawberry using newspapers and craft papers during the session. It was fun.

V will be having her exams starting tomorrow. I hope she could pass, she has been weak in her Maths this year. Kinda worry about her.

Although, I seldom post here, but from time to time, I will update my status/feeling using Twitter. So you can see the updates at the side. Or alternatively, check out my facebook, I'm spending more time there nowadays, hooked on the games la.. Kekekeke

...

Din realise that I've not been updating my blog... Life has been busy... Expressing milk already took up most of my time. Not only this, I'll try to catch a nap if I can, if not I'll not be able to wake up for the night feeding.

Happening since my last post.
We celebrated Zac's Full Month on the 5th of April. Thanks to those who attended this small event.
We celebrated S's birthday in her school. She has fun celebrating with her classmates.
Zac suppose to take his Hep B shot today, however, I'm still concern on his jaundice as he still looks yellow. So we did a jaundice test and the level is 10, which is not serious. However to be safe also, we took the blood test to test the liver. Hopefully the result is good and nothing bad is going on.

Life has been so different with a newborn around. Sometimes, I wonder if I'm able to cope at all if I don't have my mom's help. She is really a pillar to me. Helping me care for the kids, cook for me and my family. Really appreciate her a lot.

Been quite sometime...

It has been quite sometime since I last update my blog. Kinda getting lazy here but I've been updating my Facebook. So do go to my facebook profile for updates.

Some updates on the kids.
V is doing well with the new brother, caring for him, helping us to take care of him. School wise, she is OK, kinda weak in her Math problem sums. I hope she will buck up and catch up during the exams.

S, this lil girl surprised us. We thought that she will be jealous of her lil brother, but we were wrong. In fact, she dotes him the most. Caring for him, sing for him... She is also very protective of her lil brother. She has definately grown up. My cute lil girl.

Zac, this lil boy is recovering from his congested nose. He is on 7 days antibiotic now. Hopefully he will clear the infection soon. So far, he is a rather easy to take care baby. Basically, he just sleep and wakes up for feeds. Seldom fuss at all. He is on total breastmilk. I expressed my milk out for him and I'm glad that I have enough supply for him.

For myself, it's tiring. Having to express the milk every 3 hours during the day time and waking up at 2am and 6am for expressing again. I felt sick over the last weekend. Had a bad flu and hubby took over the night feeding. I've recovered now. These few days are busy planning for Zac's Full Month Celebration which is this Sunday.

Ok, some photos to share.
7 days old Zac:

Our 3 precious kids:

20 days old sleepy Zac:

Sleeping Soundly:

All is fine now...

Bb Zac is back home with us since Thursday. He is out of the oxygen assistance since Tuesday's afternoon. Seeing him without it on Tuesday's night really make us very happy. He is transfer out of the NICU on Wednesday and stay one day extra at the normal nursery till Thursday.
I managed to latch him on on Wednesday evening and carrying him in our arms is really a joy.

He is at home for 3 days already and everyone is coping well with him. The girls love him a lot and try to get his attention everytime he is awake. S especially will try to make herself useeful by providing help on taking the diapers, etc... I hope this lil boy will grow up a healthy boy.

God bless him.

S's first day of school

S starts her studying career on Monday. She is attending Nursery 1 at a church kindergarden.
So glad that she enjoys schooling and did well for these 3 days in school.
She just went with the flow. No crying, no finding for Mommy or Daddy, she's very independent.
However, she is very active, hopefully the teachers are able to handle her.
Some photos on her first day of school. More photos at my Facebook.

Eagerly waiting for school to start.

Playtime at school.

As for baby #3, he is currently growing well in my tummy. He weighs around 2.018kg now on my 32weeks of pregnancy. Dr Khi mentioned that he will be around 3+kg when born, heavier than V and S.

Hubby and me are currently addicted to playing online games, and for the past few days when we are on leaves, our time are mostly spent on the games, especially night time. We can played till wee hours. My dark circles under the eyes are coming back and I need my sleep back. Will be ending my leaves today and going back to work tomorrow. Can't wait for my maternity leaves to start.
