Actually, my first work is in 2004, where I did a few pages of 12x12 LOs for my colleague, J's birthday.
I happened to pass by MWL which is at Liang Court those days, we went in and saw those nice papers and embellishements. I went online to check out and saw someone in Yahoo Auction selling simliar stuffs.
So decided with another colleague, I to do up some LOs for J. Afterwhich, I kinda procastinate and stop scrapping.
It was till 2005, I ventured into digital scrapping and then into paper scrapping because I like to feel the products. This is when I got hooked.
I scrap to keep memories.
I scrap because its a form of relaxation for me.
I scrap because I like people to see my works.
I scrap because I like it.
Ok, let me know why you scrap and how you got started?
You can post your answers in the comments by Saturday. I will give out a RAK prize to one of you.

Hmmm I was introduced to scrapping beginning of this year by a colleague, I....from that fatal day onwards, my free time will be spent on scrapping and altering stuffs.
I scrap to
* bring out the creative side of me
* keep myself occupied
* preserve memories
* give away as gifts to close friends
* to challenge myself
Hello! For years I said that I would not scrapbook. It was way too expensive of a hobby, and I am a frugal person. Then I realized that in order to see my friends, I had to scrapbook, because that is all they were doing!! So I started about 5 years ago to do a very simple scrapbook about a trip to Mexico. It turned out really nice, and gradually I got over the sticker shock and started to buy a few things that I thought were neat. When my daughter was born, I had to have all the cute stickers, die cuts, and papers to go in the scrapbook. Now I am so addicted that I have to retrain myself from buying everything!!! Please visit my blog at www.cakvd2.blogspot.com to see my creations. Thanks!
I started to scrap in Oct 06. Less than a year. How do I get to know about scrapbooking? I was reading the newspaper and there was a topic on scrapbooking. It showed the store address and the layouts done by them. Since I was clearing my annual leave, I took leave to haunt these shops. Oh my God! I fall in love with those pattern papers. I spent around S$80 on pattern papers only in my 1st purchased. I am not creative person but try to keep memories of my 2 boys. Usually do layouts rather than altered things and mini albums.
